Sanfilippo Syndrome is a terminal, neurodegenerative disease that causes indviduals to lose all the skills they've gained. These patients suffer seizures and movement disorders, and experience pain and suffering. Currently, there is no FDA-approved treatment or cure.

Your participation in this event helps fund research to find a treatment or cure for individuals with Sanfilippo Syndrome like Levi Ormeroid and his family.

Written By Logan, Levi's Big sister..

I would do just about anything for someone that I love, which includes climbing 18,491 feet up a mountain. I’m not just climbing this mountain for the mind-blowing adventure; I am climbing this mountain to prove that NO mountain is too high when it comes to saving my brothers life from Sanfilippo Syndrome. Sanfilippo Syndrome is a monstrous disease that slowly takes away an individuals ability to function in many ways. This mountain is a symbol of what we are up against; this debilitating disease, and now we are fighting to find a cure. Levi’s cognitive level is roughly at the age of an 18-20 month old and I cannot bear to see this disease take any more of him than it already has. I’m doing this to give HIM a future and a fulfilling life. I would greatly appreciate everyone’s support to give me a hand by making a donation to support us in finding a cure to this disease that has taken so much from Levi!
